NWP Electrical & Mechanical were awarded the contract for the new Advanced Engineering Centre for the University of Brighton in March 2016. The scheme was developed under the Building Information Modelling (BIM) process. The 3-storey facility will double the research space available to the university and will allow them to continue progressing the low carbon internal combustion system. The scheme includes 10 hydro test cells with a central control room for safe operation of experiments within the cells. In addition, the new development will increase the teaching space by 60 pupils resulting in an increase in graduates entering the field. NWP were responsible for the design, procurement, installation, testing & commissioning of the development in addition to project managing the test cell facilities.
